I have pictures of every important milestone of my life ever since I discovered the power in this seemingly insignificant habit.
A habit I picked up from my father.
Pictures tell stories.
They capture a moment in time.
They keep a chronology of your path through life.
They keep you humble.
They remind you that nothing stays the same.
They remind you that your situation is transient.
👇That was me in 2013. 👇
I was at my second job where my job was to unload cargo planes at Calgary International.
Even though this subcontracted role was not my professional job, I was later offered the opportunity of being a direct contract owner in less than two months after starting the job.
Yet, during the same period, some people were let go.
But for me, that meant that I could thereafter employ others to do the job on my behalf every single month.
I was only required to show up in person once a month to do the job myself as the main contract owner.
That was exciting but I turned it down because I had a different dream.
I continued my subcontract role until I knew it was time to move on.
👉Whatever your hands find to do, do it passionately!
👉Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might!
👉Whatever your hands find to do, do it with a smile!
👉Whatever your hands find to do, do it with a healthy attitude #opportunity !
So take a commemorative picture of every phase of your life.
And do it happily.
Do it confidently.
Because that too shall pass.
If where you are is not where you ultimately see yourself in the future, then know that it’s only a bend not an end.
Whatever phase of life you’re in;
Whether demoralizing or inspiring,
It is temporary.
Don’t let it define you.
