The world is full of people who are never quite happy about their circumstances. These people know things aren’t the way they should be and yes, they mull over ideas and think of how to get out of those situations. They do their research. They gather information. They attend both online and offline classes. They watch competitors and compare notes. They know they surely can do it better and have the best of ideas on how. But that’s all they ever do.
Their plans never translate to decisive steps. Their mulling never ends. What is in their heads don’t turn to action, whatsoever!
Dictionary.com defines circumstance as:
“A condition, detail, part, or attribute, with respect to time, place, manner, agent, etc., that accompanies, determines, or modifies a fact or event; a modifying or influencing factor.”
If you really want to change the circumstances of your life you need to invest in that dream. Invest your time and effort. As an immigrant, you can change your circumstances only when you take action in that direction of your dream of where you want to be, what you want to achieve.
Unless you tell enough people and do something about that product or service you’ve designed, nothing will happen. Your circumstances will remain the same. Stop waiting for the validation of other people. It may never come. Only you have the power to turn your dream into reality.
When money isn’t exchanged for that side hustle or that business idea, then you’re not in business. You are simply dreaming. And that’s a great place to start but dreamers don’t make the world. Only doers do!
What’s holding you back from pursuing your dream?
The top reason is fear, of whatever and for whatever reason. Fear paralyses all of us. Fear has torments and the torments of fear are more effective than the reason for the fear. The best way out is to face your fears. And you can’t face your fears without getting started, right?
The second reason you cannot move into the direction you desire is because you don’t know your why. The “why” gives you the fuel for the journey, a direction and shows you the destination. It’s easy to drift afloat when you don’t have a strong enough why.
Go back to your why. Review it. Redefine it. Look at it from all directions and be clear on your goals.
Stop waiting for the validation of other people. It may never come. Only you have the power to turn your dream into reality.
Why did you start dreaming in the first instance? Why did you think of going into something new? Get the answers and you’re on your way to moving mountains.
If you really want to change the circumstances of your life and those of your loved ones, you need to invest in that dream. Invest your time and effort. And put your money where your mouth is. As an immigrant, you can change your circumstances only when you take action in the direction of your dream; where you want to be, what you want to achieve.
Circumstances can change but only if you take that step to change it.
